The Dubai National 30 feet Rowing …

The Dubai National 30 feet Rowing Boat Race (first round of the 2020-2021 Dubai Championship), organised by the Dubai International Marine Club on Friday, achieved a great technical and organisational success.

The big event, which held in conjunction with the 30 * 30 Dubai Challenge, marked an interesting and beautiful start according to the precautionary measures followed and new technical requirements that affected the boat and the number of sailors participating in order to increase the physical distance between the participants.

38 boats participated in the race, distributed over two lanes (yellow) and (red) with more than 340 people on board, embodying a unique heritage epic in a distinct waterfront and an ideal water surface in the Dubai Water Canal near the Wildlife Sanctuary in Al Jaddaf where the race, as usual, was a sporting event. A Gulf heritage navy brought together the brothers of the state from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.

The race was known in its first half (yellow), the leader of the general standings last season and the holder of the Al Maktoum Cup, the boat Oman 44 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in the Sultanate of Oman and led by Nokhatha Hamid Salem Al-Bahri, who got the first place, surpassed 19 other boats, including the boat of the Kingdom of Bahrain (KHK) for its owner Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and commanded by Al Nukhatha Ahmed Al Busumit, while the Elite 87 boat of its owner Al Nokhatha Othman Al Mansouri came in third place.

The second half witnessed the brilliance of the brothers from the Kingdom of Bahrain through the boat Victorious 53 to its owner Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and led by Nokhatha Abdullah Al-Hadi, who achieved the first place with merit, outperforming 17 boats in the (red) round and ahead of the second-place owner of the boat, the basis of 39 of its owner Khalifa bin Shaheen and led Al-Nokhitha Badr Abdul-Hakim and third-place holder Al-Qaber Al-Rocket 7 owned by Al-Nokhatha Ibrahim Al-Marzouki and led by Al-Nokhatha Abdullah Al Hosani.
